The best gift any parent can give a child is the love of books, and the joy of reading for fun. Children who read at home, or are read to, have a head start on reading success in school. One of the best ways to encourage reading is to allow children to choose the books they want to read.
Our school participates in the Scholastic Book Club.

How to Order
It is easy to order. Once a term your child will bring home a Scholastic Book Club catalogue which offers a wide selection of books offered for all ages. You'll find award-winning books and bestsellers, as well as old and new favourites.
Scholastic run an ordering and payment system which is available online or you can download the Scholastic Loop app. Payment is made by credit card. The orders are collated and a week or so later are delivered directly to the school.
A group of parents then sort the books to be delivered to the children's classes. Volunteers are always welcome to help sort the orders as our school is large and the number of orders to be sorted can be quite time consuming.
Benefits to the School
Owning your own books is something special! I hope that you will encourage your child to order books from the Scholastic Book Club this year. Each order helps the school earn free books and teaching materials for our classrooms and library, however there is never any obligation to order.
