Donation to School Library

The P&C Committee recognizes the importance of fostering a love for reading and developing essential skills among our students. As such, we have decided to donate $8,000 to the school library to be used for purchasing books, magazines, and other necessary materials to facilitate the students’ reading program. As new and interesting books are continually coming to the market, we plan to allocate the budget in a way that allows the library to claim under that budget for various batches until the end of term 4 2023.

The librarian and school teachers will be responsible for determining the specific purchase list, ensuring that the resources provided align with the students’ needs and interests. This donation aims to support our students’ growth in reading skills and other related competencies, ultimately contributing to their overall education.

The library donation effort is making steady progress. Our librarian, Christine,
has been in her position since last term. We’ve spent $1,400 on a school-wide story box subscription and $500 on magazines. Christine will also be on the lookout for additional needed materials.
