Parent and Citizens Committee

Welcome to Murray Farm Public School P&C!
A Parent and Citizens (P&C) committee is a group of parents, teachers, and community members who work together to support the education and well-being of students at our school. It collaborates with the school to organize fundraising events, coordinate school activities, and provide valuable input on school policies and decisions.
As a parent, you are encouraged to attend the monthly P&C meetings and share your ideas and suggestions. The committee serves as a bridge between the school and the broader community, creating opportunities for parents to offer suggestions and voice concerns to improve the school experience for students.
The P&C committee relies heavily on the support of volunteers to help with various school activities and events. Volunteers can assist with a wide range of tasks, including setting up and running school events, managing stalls, helping with school excursions, and providing administrative support. Without the support of volunteers, the P&C committee would struggle to achieve its objectives, and our children would miss out many valuable opportunities.
We look forward to working with you to support the school and its students!

MFPS P&C ASSOCIATION – MEMBERSHIP INTEREST FORM

To vote

The membership year for a P&C Association is from the close of one AGM until the close of the next AGM.

Membership fee is due at the AGM. People who meet the membership criteria can join at any meeting throughout the year or even between meetings by paying the membership fee. A person who pays at a meeting or between meetings is not considered a member until the meeting closes and the member register is updated. So, for the next meeting, they are a financial member and can vote, move or second motions, and enter into debate.

To stop the stacking of meeting is the reason that a person cannot come to a meeting pay membership and vote. This is why under the constitution the membership register is deemed to be updated at the end of a meeting and why they are not considered a member until the next meeting.
